Does anyone remember this bottle...? I'm including a link which refers to it, but the original thread links embedded in it are no longer available (that's too bad,too...)...

Anyway, I don't remember all the details myself... but someone claimed to have unearthed a genuine Lancaster Bitters... There was a flurry of activity... Supposedly, there was talk of offers of big-time $$$... We all kept after the guy to give us more photos, and he promised to... But, after awhile, we got zippo from him...

I guess nobody remembers this or nobody cares... I just thought it was interesting... Here's this bottle supposedly unearthed that looks crude and old... But wait... Everyone thought this was an imaginary bottle, not even a repro... And there were serious discussions and big buck interest in it if it proved to be genuine... But the trail ran cold... Ah, well... This trail is running cold as well...

I guess so Ron, I would tend to think these are just fantasy bottles with the lack of talk about them here, but I guess you never know.

Wasn't the bottle allegedly dug/found along a canal or river bank,

Yeah, Joe... It was in Ohio... Thanks for the memory jog!!!

I don't remember his handle, and since we're locked out from the original thread, we can't get it that way... I was just so startled to see that bottle in the first place... I need closure here!!! Where's LobesPierre? He remembers everything...
