What's wrong w/ those? The Dayton one is fine, I mean what ya expect. The Winston-Salems kinda of ruff but still original. You could get a labeless bottle and get one of those NY labels [the ones they found a ton of]and fake it out all the way, still would look good.

Yeah the Dayton is boarder line but the other is too far for me and the glass bottle is so nice I thought it would be nice to aply 2 original labels to and have a mint bottle all around... there are labels on ebay now but no neck labels and I thought
someone here with the knowledge and may have a set of real labels... I've seen the
repros (look like the Dayton style) just wanted a couple sets... there is a 6 pack in a local antique mall in a metal carrier for $50 and 2 of the bottle are pretty nice
but I felt that may be high for 6 bottles with the labels all but gone on them. these 2 where $6 total.

About three weeks ago I was making the rounds to about a dozen local antique shops, and in one of them I saw a paper-label Pepsi bottle similar to the ones above, but passed on it because the dealer wouldn't take less than $80.00 for it, which I could have afforded, but just didn't think it was worth that much. He about ran me out of the shop when I offerd him $40.00. What do you think, did I blow it? By the way, the paper label was completly intact, and although aged, was in about "mint" condition!

Thanks,

SPB

$80 sounds high to me... guess it depends on the bottle condition and rarity of the label... I recently bought a Pepsi double dot cooler and wanted some bottles to display with it... these 2 bottles I bought are pretty nice just wanted to get a better label for at least one of them... I'm not a expert I just like the bottles...
