This is a great site, lots of info about bottles. One day last week, I was out mushroom hunting and look what I found laying on top of the ground. I done some internet rescreach and can date this bottle to 1914. As it appears, it is a returnable soda pop bottle from Seymour Indiana. It is in pretty good shape from being outside for 96 years. It has two nicks near the top and has triple diagonal scatches on the inside. It has a lot of white staining on the inside also. I found a lot of info on the Star Bottling Works, but none of it seem to be related to the Star Bottling Works in Seymour. I will have to go to the liabrary and go through some old micro-fish to learn more of when the Star Bottling works was here. Nobody I have talk to so far seem to remember anything about them. There was a Seymour Bottling Works at one time and people remember it because it was where the new police station is now. So any questions, comments, or info will gladly be appreciated.
