My son and I hunted for about 4 hours down the St. Johns River on Sunday. We found some very nice glass including a black glass lady leg. Not sure what the green wide mouth is if you have any input that would be great.
Most all bottles are for sale( my son may or may not sell his). My husband has convinced me it is time to liquidate some of my collection. If anyone is interested in "souther" milks and cokes let me know.

I just thought this was cool. As I was editing pictures I saw this bottle in the back ground. Just to the right behind the bird. When I took the picture I did not see the bottle. This is the black lady leg right where it was found.

Hey, nice finds.....The aqua widemouth bottle looks like it held pickles or condiments (it's shaped just like a "Bunker hill pickle" w/out the embossing, may be a later labeled example....Is that the one you were asking about? It looks like a great spot and I love the Bird pic w/ the bottle in it. Joe

Nice haul! As Joe da Crow said, that widemouth jar is a "pickle" bottle, and may have held anything from gherkins to olives to preserved berries. It looks to be an applied lip bottle, and may well be a British import. The "Patent" whiskey is a good one as far as they go, better than the ladies leg assuming it is unembossed. Looks like a good time with your son, hopefully there are many more similar excursions to be had in the future!

That photograph with the bird and bottle is awesome. Absolutely spectacular capture of reality, especially since you didn't know the bottle was there when the shot was snapped. It is rare to see such divergent juxtapositions; I might need to save that photo for future use!

Thanks to everyone. We had a great time. This is the first time I have shown him "the spot" LOL! He was very cautious at first , we both carry , him a 9mm, me a .45. as well as gig poles. It is a risky hunt but as you can see well worth the risk. Very near an old saw mill and the ground is wet saw dust causing you to sink waist deep at times. Gators are my biggest worry ,it is nesting time, snakes not so much.
Please feel free to copy the picture, sorry the blur is so bad, I was using a 300mm lense and was so hot I guess I was shaking more than I thought.

Cool to find out what the wide mouth is. I have never seen one before.
