I've seen this listed as a "figural cologne" in the Old Bottle magazine I own....at least I think it said cologne, I'll have to see if I can find it....Jim

My guess would be French in design, age of manufacture 1830 to 1860.The type of bottle could be a Brandy Cordial or toilet fragrence bottle.
Is the bottle manufactured in the half post method if so knock another 30 to 40 years off the age.Nice form great detail its a keeper.

book says it's Spanish and titles it as "3 dolphins holding a bottle" bottle, toilet water.......Jim

Actually I have seen that auction lot before from Googling like a mad man for info on my bottle.

The fact that mine has none of those defects should be a good thing I would think.

If you think I should avoid Ebay then I will. I've never even sold anything online except for an air conditioner on Craigslist. Even that guy tried to talk me down but I didn't budge.

French Spanish same thing [:D]Good information Jim, What is the title of the book you found the it in.I have quite a few cologne/toilet bottles that it might help ID.Thanks Steve

Hi Steve, it's in an issue of "Old Bottle" magazine from the 1970's, I have a whole set from 69-79 that I have been trying to sell here without any luck, they'll be going on e-bay soon...LOL

I would think you're right but not sure about the market, I would contact Glassworks and let them know what you have instead of e-bay, they run the best auctions around.....
