This vial is in Willy's book. Ok, Ok......$5.00 to the interpreter and a shot of tequila.

It's Arabic script. A good national level museum of history or archaeology should have someone on it's staff who can read Arabic. Also worth trying Universities with Arabic language or Middle Eastern Studies type departments. Academics are usually pretty approachable if there's an interesting question to be answered.

I think I have it almost figured out. It looks to me like it says "Milk Milk Lemonaid around the corner Fudge..." and that's as far as I've got. I'll keep trying. Swiz

Hello Rick,

Fantastic shape. That pushed up pontil looks like an amber stalagmite! What's the back story on that guy? What do Willy say?

Here is a reply from a friend who speaks Arabic:

"It says "Islamic [words I can't read], Kashan". I think it's Farsi. I can read the word 'Islamic' because all Muslim words remain in Arabic no matter what language. Kashan maybe a place or a name...it's the word on the bottom of the label.

It's a start......
Regards,
