Probably 4 different Side Shots and 2 pole shots. Each one showing the whole marble. The pics you had looked foggy and I know that marble has alot more color than pics showed. I shoot my Onion marble pics with the Macro setting and using sunlight with no Flash. Make sure the sun isn't to the point where the glare hides the marbles detail. Try various angles.
