Does anyone know what bottling company would have C B (you can faintly make it out) embossed on the base of a fruit or pickle jar from the 1860s or 70s? It was found at a ND fort.

Hear is a long shot or two,
This is one company using several marks
C C-B 1867 to ? Curtis Burns NY (The first one there is a C over a B)
B

C&B 1830 till incorperation?
C&B LTD incorperation to date All I have is England

Most of my marks come from Julian H Toulouse (just notes) taken from the book

Gilmanton, New Hampshire
There is a listing in the Red Book of Fruit Jars #9 for a C B (on base)
Ground lip glass insert & pewter screw band.
Probably a product jar; English
1 Ltr Aqua $15-20

Is the lip of the jar ground, Hgirl???

I don't think it has a ground lip. Here is a picture of the top.
