Green Gladiator Goes Cheap

Was watching a number of items in a recently completed BBR event and saw a nice green gladiator (12 o’clock sword) go for around 1400 pounds. Appreciate this may not be considered by some as the harder of the three in this series but still a very rare and indeed desirable pot lid. Refer lot description 16 below although the image is tagged 17.... I wonder if this had any influence?[:D]

Would have thought it was around the mark at equivalent to $4,000 Australian dollars

I'd think 1400 pounds is a fair price for that green one, I agree they are a top class lid but not surprised it did not go higher.

$1400 pounds is $3200 AU by todays rates. This was the cheapest one I have seen for some time. Carmo, yes its a good one and it went to a very good home.[;)]
