Stopped by a friends today, he was making his driveway wider,digging up around an old tree, I saw some glass and pottery shards. Looking around I found this.. Is it old or new? It is about 1 inch. It is all scratched up from the machine. Thanks SPD

Looks like a pretty new one to me , I am sure there will be someone come along that is more knowledgable about them than I am .

I think that from what I can see in the pic is a 1960s or newer catseye marble possibly a Master but hard to tell from the pic. Jay

The first American catseye marbles looked more like bananas than catseyes and they were mostly a single color later they started using multiple colors but they still looked like bananas.

Marble king , Vitro Agate, and Master Glass all made Catseye marbles that were of the veined type, mainly 4-6 vein, usually 3 vein type are japanese or other. That marble I believe is one of the american type, but it is hard to tell fwith one pic. Master made Catseye that were a combo of a veined banana. Jay

with that veiw it looks like an older japanese one.Jay
