According to the question&answers this is one of two known specimens. This example was bought in an antique store in 1970 and has been in a collection up until now when it was put up on ebay.

definately a rare medicine. Not sure I am seeing a colored pontil there unless the photos are way off?? Deep aqua maybe?

Definitely not colored, but a great rarity regardless. I see it worth every penny, and more.

The final price of $1500 to Gary Enters, who collects a lot of very rare pontil meds. It seems ultra rare pontil meds are commanding some very large prices in todays market, regardless of color. I think this one is a nice dark aqua, classic form, and fantastic embossing to go along with the rarity.

That bottle was found in Corpus Christi Texas in 1970. That's just 90 miles from where I live. I guess I shouldn't kick myself too hard. I was collecting then but I was just 14 years old.
