This little guy turned up in the leftover dirt from a privy of a few weeks back where I had dug a beat old pontiled paperweight...I was killing some time while we awaited the excavator today, and scratched through what we left, to see if we missed anything....It looks pontiled, and has some weird creases in the glass, almost like the sides of a pumpkin? It also has silver looking "flecks" inside of it...they are sort of mettalic looking? It's darn tough to get good marble close ups with our camera....Can anyone please give me any info on it??? Marbles I know not.

Dates 1890 - 1910 and German. Basically TOC. Value is hard to say. Marble collectors are like bottle collectors. They like them what they call wet mint. Look on ebay in the toy category. Then to marbles pre 1970. Type in mica. Marbles can be buffed, sort of like a bottle tumbled. We like tumbled bottles, but marble collectors sort of frown upon buffing. Robert
