I recently found a box of these Coca Cola blotters dating from the 1930's- 1950's while doing some hvac work in a local downtown building. I asked the owner if he was interested in selling them and he said no but i could have them if i wanted. I dont know much about them but they are nice to display.

Looks like they are in good condition . I used to come across them years ago , but they were always well used , I never did find a displayable one .

I ended up losing out on a Mint Cola blotter last year that went for $30+ on Ebay. Although Coke is more popular I'd assume they would be worth a bit less being there were more of them. Would it be a stretch to say $20+ apiece? I really like that "Sprite Boy" blotter.

Just looked on ebay and apparantly $20+ would be a stretch for a couple of them. The "Cold" blotter is from the 30's and the Buy It Nows for that one are anywhere from $15 to $35. The Sprite Boy one is from the 50's and most are listed around $5. The other one is from the 60's and is listed at a couple bucks.

I always figured that it was the modern age that made people so impatient. It's interesting to note that in the 30's-50's we still couldn't wait for ink to dry.[:D][:D]
Nice collection at any rate.

Great find! Could we see photos of some of the earliest ones? (1930s)

Thanks

The "Cold Refreshment" one looks quite nifty, is that the oldest type you got?

So this was a box of how many blotters, roughly? Did you get hundreds of em and earn yourself an extra free paycheck?
