Unknown!! Can somebody tell me what these are. The glass looks black but when you hold it up to the light it actually looks dark green. The bottoms are well sunken and they seem to have different necks, heights tops etc

Slimdigger,
Thank you for help. I took a picture of the base of the above bottles. I have many bottles which I am trying to group and take pics to post. You must be very knowledged and I thank you for taking the time to tell me about the bottles. We bought the collection 12 years ago from an elderly lady and paid $500 AUS for lot. We are actually gold prospectors and we plan to go prospecting for 5 months in April. The idea of selling the collection was to aid our trip away. There must be 700-1000 bottles, jars, ink wells/containers, food jars and so on. I believe it would take me a very long time to research these items individually. I am being lazy and picking everybody elses knowledge, hope you all don't mind?
regards Kim

Hi kim,
I have looked through the pictures the best bottle I have seen so far would be the Warners 4 cities bottle this would go well on eBay, you still have a lot of $10.00 and $15.00 bottles mixed in this lot, like the Cobalt Blue Castor Oils, poisons and bromo seltzer and the nice sun amithyst (purple) Cunlif & Paterson and IXL Sauce Bottles. All the purple bottles do sell very quickly at local markets, the blacks bottles we call here Goldfields blacks are pretty common and we dig a LOT of them. You had a couple of beers pictured in another thread the Tooth's Beer with the horse is worth around $20.00. the Reich's Beer is very common.
You could sell some of these bottles at a local bottle show, there is the Australian National coming up in two weeks, you could try there however all the trading space may be gone by now.
Keep the pictures coming if there is anything real good there I will let you know.
Thanks
Chris

Hi Kim,
I can see a Toohey's and a N.S.W. aerated water co ginger beer in that last post, they will sell well on eBay for around $30 au each the other stoneies for around $2 to $10.

slimdigger, those tall blue bottles are caster oil bottles [;)] they are a sauce shape but there are a lot around with lables that are all caster oils (and a lot of old-timers that can tell you how horrible it was [:D] ).
