Thanks CyberDigger. Yeah- that's a great site, and very informative. Thanks. I used to live up that way in Brick and then in Avon. Never did a dig up that way though.

For a few days at a time, every once in a while, I go down the shore to my Grandma's house in Manahawkin... It's across the bay from L.B.I., in fact, I could swim there if I wanted. There's a couple of places I've found that have bottles there, and I think privies too, but I just need permission.

Wheelah- I am finding that a lot of the early dig spots are on the mainland along marshy areas. That's where they dumped their trash in those days. I'm still searching for some good privies.
