Hi all:

I just received a new purchase of a Ball Standard wax sealer quart jar. According to "A Collector's Guide to Ball Jars", these jars are "always seen with the three-L script name". However, the one I just obtained is the 'dropped a' logo, not the three-L. Is this something that was not known when the book was printed that is now widely known?

Or...you could always tell me I have a rare variation never before discovered! [:)]

Thanks!

HOOSIER..I'd sure like ta tell ya that...[:D]
REDBOOK #7 only lists the "3-L Loop" jars. But REDBOOK #9 is more recent and may list the "dropped-A" jar...

Redbook 9 lists Ball Standard (dropped a, no third l loop) as number 315 - made 1910 - 1912 value in quart $5 - $7, half gallon $10 - $12. Redbook numbering for Ball jars changed with Redbook #8, so I don't know how it may (or may not) have been listed in earlier issues. -Tammy
