I suspect it's a liqueur bottle from modern times. The bottle full was probably $60 US and more than ¾ of that was for the bottle. There are still many bottles that get sold that way, cheap liqueur but expensive bottles. Once empty they don't have much interest, at least here in the states.

It's pretty tho... If it is made with quality materials, would be a very nice shelf piece.
