Unknown rare marble

Its not glass and most are unsure what it is made of. it seems to be some kind of stone that changes color kinda like an opal. one person I have spoken to thought he knew what it was but said it would be hard to make into a marble so it would be rare. this marble was dug by an old house. that had been torn down for 25+ years had not been any kids for 50 yrs. So I know it has some age. I have taken it to a local marble show and not one person out 20 was sure about it. some said old some said new some said rare. Any info or thoughts. Thanks patent1858
