here's a great find and unusual find to say the least. Its a large green saltwater battery. No makers mark but has embossing on where to fill to and not let level drop below this point. any info on who makes these?
I dont know who made that one but I do know some were used by the rail roads for early lighting.Im sure there were other applications too.I wondered why green too.Ive seen the clear before and thats all.Some pretty!
HI, Regarding who made them? I know that Edison made a lot of different types of glass bodied batteries. He also used a lot of Wolfe multi-topped finishes, chemistry bottles. I have seen them in his laboratory at Ft Myers, FL. I have found three of those bottles since seeing them at his museum. RED Matthews
