A similar National Bitters just sold for over $11,000, if I'm not mistaken, in the last 6 weeks....Is it possible that lip damage is knocking this one down by the tune of $6,000......WOW

If I collected these I would jump at the $5200 or at least offer $5,000 outside of E-Bay to save the seller any fees....Jim

More than $6000. Assuming $12,000. is the actual collector value of that bottle at this time, as evidenced by the ebay sale, I think the damage would reduce the value by about 80%. That would make this bottle $2400. That is just my opinion.

They had a high bid of around $4400 but it didn't meet the reserve, if I collected these it would be at the glass restorer getting Hxtal'd for sure.....what a shame....Jim

Its not really the lip chip that is hurting this on as much as the small crack that is associated with the chip. The chip is small and shallow and to me doesn't hurt that much. And would be very easy to repair. The crack there isn't much you can do about and you will always have a bottle with a crack in the lip.

This one came on right after the other sold. They wanted 11K first and got no-where. Then $8200. No sale. Now down to $5200 or whatever. I'm not sure it's entirely the bottle that is at issue.

Wow! I think if I ever found something like that broken, knowing what it is I'd cry.

Dont think that I would cry as it is still basically complete and of considerable value in my terms. I would happily display it. Nice.
