Hi All.
First let me thank everyone who helped with me with the Breneman, York Milk Bottle.

This next bottle is either really early, or is a fake. I can not find any information on it anywhere on the net.

It looks like a milk, has a wire top and no cap seat.

The front is embossed:
MFG FOR A. H. REID 30TH & MARKET ST PHILA.

The base is embossed:
TIBBY BROS MAKER PITTSBURGH PA

Does anyone have any info on this bottle?

[*] Tibby Bros Pitts PA....See "T B".
[*] T.B. ..................Tibby Brothers, Pittsburgh, PA and Sharpsburg, PA (1866-c.1902). The first factory location was in Pittsburgh, and the second one was started up in Sharpsburg somewhat later. Both locations operated simultaneously for many years. The Sharpsburg location was the only plant in operation by the time of Tibby Brothers' closing, but I am not sure on the exact date Pittsburgh closed and when the Sharpsburg plant opened.

I found a few milk industry documents on google books mentioning them.

They bought some dairy equipment in 1891

In 1876, AH Reid wrote something about a "patent butter works".

I think it's the real deal. It seems the company was in business for a while, which might make it common, but pre-1900 milks are mostly quite rare. You may have a good one. I could be wrong, hopefully someone else more knowledgeable will chime in.

Thanks Wheelah23, I never knew about this Google Books resource.

If I'm following the hints correctly it looks like Reid was a dairy industry supplier?
