I got this two months ago, but I'm just now getting around to putting up some pics. I have wanted one of these since I was old enough to drive. Now, 14 years later, I finally have one! 2011 Dodge Ram 2500 diesel 4x4. I really wanted green, but the silver is sweet. I found out that buying late in the model year can limit your color choices, as a lot of them are already sold out [&:]

I always had old trucks before, and only used my last one when needed for work, digging pits or hauling things. I like driving a truck, so it's nice to have one that looks good and is comfortable for a daily driver. ~Jim

I didn't load up on "creature comforts", as I did not want to pay 45-50 grand for a truck. No power windows or locks, but it has a nice cloth seat, full carpet, cruise, chrome wheels and bumpers and a few other goodies. The AC is ice-cold, which was nice yesterday when the thermometer read 105!

Most of the features I got were geared towards performance rather than comfort. Four-wheel drive is a must for Pennsylvania winters. I also got the anti-spin rear for better traction, protective skid plates for the underside (not that I plan to hit anything with it) and the heavy-duty electrical system.

The most important thing I got was the six-speed stick. I have driven these trucks with automatics, and they are SLUGS. Maybe it's just me because I don't like automatics, but the stick is the only way to go if you ask me.

Thanks, Fred and Rocky. I plan to keep this truck for a long time. The plan is to pay it and my wife's 2010 Jetta off, and then buy a bigger, older house. Hopefully, we will have this house fully restored by then. All fixed up, just in time to sell it [8D]

These diesel Rams are virtually indestructible if you treat them well. This one will be treated like a member of the family, I can't afford to trash my truck and buy another one every few years. I actually know guys who do just that, it's sick! ~Jim
