This is my grandfather's old coal shovel. The house once had a coal burning furnace. Despite the checking and cracking, it feels great in hand, and could still shovel some coal. I'm guessing it's about 75+ years old.

I used it the other day to clean up some stuff, when I couldn't find the more modern model. I've been thinking about him a lot since then. I used to wear his old shirts all the time. Funny how a personal item or a tool can evoke that spirit or connection...

Cool.I have one like that,from the coal shovelin days,I forget were I got it.
You should take that shovel on a dump or privy dig,it will probable bring you luck[:D]
