I saw this at the antique store. The seller wants $42 bucks for it. It is large, has a ground lip and a tin top, looks like it was blown in a dip mold, and has a very odd base, which I can't tell if it is pontiled or not. I'm in no way a jar expert, so if anyone could help me on weather or not I should get it and weather or not it is a repro, it would be greatly appreciated. I have a few pics. It has a very strange base, it looks like one large, refired sand pontil.

I'm not a jar collector (so fair warning there) but I wouldn't pay 42 cents for it. (I probably just confessed to being stupid).[:D]

I think they are chinese or indian decorative items. You see them in various sizes. Sometimes in places like furniture stores.

Or here`s another, Run Forest, Run. See these alot in antique/ craft shops. At first it catches your eye, but when you see 3 or 4 in one shop, reproduction time starts. The real ones are out there, with the original lids thats a harder find.
