Bought this at auction back in 2007. It has all the Honest Mason 1858s in crate. There`s a little story behind it though, It was an on site auction, I got the jars at this time along with a bunch of other jars, then a week later they had a clean up auction were I ended up with the crate that they came in. Also picked up a nice Hero lid crate in great shape. Warren

Don't think I've ever seen the word 'flint' [aka clear] printed as part of the lettering on a box for mason jars before. The lid box looks to be in super shape, looks like it was printed yesterday. Very cool!

Those are very nice cases. When you find one good item it often pays to ask about other related things that may be available. Thanks for the pictures.

Thanks, the first auction took all day so not everything was sold that day, I went for the attic mint Van Vliet, never got a chance to bid, went way over book value, even though is was going to go a little above. The jars i got were ok, when i got home i looked closer at the lids and there ended up being alot of keystone, cfj, and hero embossed zinc lids. The crates were put together with other cases, flour, biscuits, gunpowder. Warren
