Looking for a digger and crew for Annual Home Tour sponsored by MIlford Historical Society every third weekend in September - Houses available from 1830 up. Current subject is 1860 - privy is located.
More home owners are interested...

I'll call you on this one.
John Miller, Brian Miska, Nic Meyer (mtfd222) and I dug.
We had a GREAT time and were treated very well.
99% of the bottles and artifacts went to the homeowners and the Milford Historical Society- we picked a couple of things AFTER they did and left the rest for anyone happening by.
We had 3-400 folks come through while we were digging-probing . They asked a lot of questions, bravely tried probing and gave a lot of REFERRALS.
Not a lot of pics, but here are some.
We probed and probed. The pit that was supposed to be, wasn't. -smile-
We ended up digging two pits and one trashy area.
Nothing fantastic- one or two local bottles and an intact jug. Lots of broken pottery, plates and bottles.
