Check out this new addition to my Pontiled Cologne Collection. I love picking one up that I never even knew existed. I got this today from a freind at The Albany Bottle Show. Its about 5.5" tall, has an oval space on the lower side that took a label. Crude neck and tooled lip coming out of the Fish's mouth. Nice crude pontiled base. Wont stand on its own due to the pontil sticking out. This makes 45 in my collection, and I have another on hold.

Nice find BN, how do you know it was a cologne and not a cod liver oil bottle?

seems too small to be a cod liver oil.

a fish form seems a bit odd for a cologne , one notch above a figural skunk[;)]
seafood and cologne dont seem a good mate to me. Especially in the age of no refridgeration.

Is there any docs indicating its a cologne , like a labelled one somewhere?

I have not seen a labeled one indicating that it was definately a Cologne. It has an oval label space as alot of them did. Of coarse it could have had any label on it. It is only about 5.5" tall, and I would think if it were a cod Liver Oil Bottle that someone would have put some embossing on it. Like why would you make such a fancy bottle for your product, and not add your name to it. I guess anything is possible. I do agree, A Cologne to make you smell nice, and a fish shaped bottle is a weird pairing.[:D] Thanks for your thoughts.
