Agreed the clear is less common. Doesn't seem to draw that much of a premium though. The OP is the big draw. Even with a label the hinge mold doesn't seem to do nearly as well as the pontil, despite the bottles being roughly the same age.
Dutcher, BTW, was a druggist in St Albans on the main street, even at the time of the infamous St. Albans Raid, during the civil war. He seems, with his sons, to have sold there until about the turn of the century or so. There is everything from pontiled embossed meds on up there to TOC stuff with his name on it.

good find even in smooth base. Looks clear glass in the photo which would make it uncommon. They are normally aqua.
