Digs have been far and few between the last couple of years... So I'm thrilled to drag anything home these days, Sunday, I located a small (I mean Tiny) dump spot along a river and unearthed this 1/2 gallon MASON IMPROVED, alot of these dumps on the banks are very shallow, so finding a large jar whole is a rarity. I could not locate this in the redbook on the first try, so I cleaned the jar up and the erased words ATLAS appeared across the top, I then saw an erased word below IMPROVED, thinking it was rdbk #147(only known in pint size) after looking closer , the erased word started and ended with an A, So I look at it a little closer and all the letters began to appear , (PAT D) with (A B G A) over it and BOTH erased, close to rdbk #149 but not listed in redbook #10- the bad news is I never relized how hard it is to photo peened out or erased words, holding the jar in your hand it's easy to read. I'll try to get pic's later & sorry about the novel..John
