John Cairns had some nice examples. All his colored bottles are considered at least Rare and Extremely Rare. He was first listed as a soda water manufacturer in 1850 at 68 Spruce St. . Cairns & Co was listed at that same address up to 1853. Possibly around 1856 he went into business with Timmermann & Block. In 1857 he was involved with Cairns, Block & Co. and only for that year. He was quite succesful in St. Louis, but left there in around 1872. He eventually died in Hannibal Missouri in 1885 of heart disease. In 1860 his personal estate was valued at $20,000.

All the best,
~Tim

Hey Tim,
NICE NICE NICE colored soda. Just about any St. Louis soda that has color is very hard to find.
Thanks for the history and the post.
