Got this marion masons patent and masons improved from an auction. The marion needs cleaned up. Any ideas on how to best clean it?
Hi Adam, great looking jars, especially that Marion pint! Other than a quick tumble I would try a new brillo pad (with some extra dish soap for lubricant) to scrub her up.
What is the base embossing on this mason's improved?
I'm pretty sure I could hook you up with a lid & band for that GEM jar if your figuring on keeping it & need one.
Headed back out digging today but will check back in on here tonight.

Al, the improved is embossed Patd May 10 1870 on the base. I couldn't believe I was able to pick up that marion pint. I'll definitely try the brillo pad and see how it cleans up
