Help with insulators

So a buddy of mine does house cleanouts, since he knows that I like glass and bottles he figured that I knew something about a couple of insulators he found WRONG! I know nothing at all about insulators but I told him I knew where I could find out about them. The question is are thees common and should go into the dumpster or are they collectible and somebody would want them? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Okay this is the other one, I am not sure myself that it is even an insulator but he seems to think it is????? again thanks for sharing your thoughts.

The first piece is an Ohio Brass made porcelain insulator, in a cobalt blue glaze. Worth holding onto, probably worth about 5-10 dollars.

The second piece looks like a "line separator", which hangs in the air between poles with a wire on each side and keeps with wires from touching each other. At least, this is what I believe it is.....

I'd agree.

Just saw one of those separators too, but can't remember where. CJOTW? ICON? FeeBay?
