I am admittedly NOT knowledgeable in this arena (sodas and poisons still confuse me:)) but isn't that a peened out Steele's?

I first thought Dr Powell's ?? from burlington Nj but haven't seen one of them enough to know ..

It does look like a slugged out Powell's. I did find that exact example in Odell's with the long slugplate S, or it appears so.

Thanks I belive it to be this J Donnell's the more flat bottom and taper top http://www.sodasandbeers.com/SABShowBottle.aspx?Bottle=50834AA&Firm_Number=50834

As the steel's has small letters and the powell Has mineral water embossed on one panel http://www.sodasandbeers.com/SABShowBottle.aspx?Bottle=55827AA&Firm_Number=55827

not that they couldn't change the plates.. the donnell just looks the most correct as well as the one embossed premium mineral waters..

Also note that it has a fluted pattern around the neck and the donnel's looks to have the same !!

This was dug in california..
