found in barn

hi ,
my son purchased some property in maryland on the upper chesapeake bay, there is an old barn and we found an old bottle in suprisingly good shape i did some research on it and it is a pontil type bottle but thats all i know. it is dark green and has the name sutton embossed in the glass on the side of the bottle ,dont know if its worth anything but any information would be helpfull.

Welcome to the forum Douglas...
I'm pretty sure it would have some good value, but not sure just how much...Those type bottles are loosely referred to as black glass, and that one looks pretty early, perhaps an ale bottle. Bottles with an impressed 'seal' like that one are pretty collectable. Condition affects value as well.

nice bottle, is it in good shape? I like these types and they are always a nice find.
