Hello kind Jar folks... I need help. I have a glass stopper that I think is a Flaccus Stopper, however someone has questioned it. Do any of you have a true Flaccus stopper and if so could you be so kind as to show me a few pictures of it and to give me some measurements? I thank you in advance.

The common ones I know of are the stag or steer heads and had a ring collar or all glass. Is that what you think you have? Post a thousand words or better, a picture.[:)]

I have a Flacus jar with a glass lid. I am not sure what you are calling a Flacus stopper. I will dig it out if it will help anyone. RED Matthews

Some of the FLACCUS jars did have an actual stopper rather than the ring / band and glass insert or all glass screw on lid. We need to know which jar you are talking about. Please give us a picture or several.

It sure looks like it could be. I'd guess you'd need the measurements for the jar mouth inside and add a bit for the cork of the stopper and see if it would come close. I don't see that in RB.

Yes, yours is a Flaccus stopper. I have one that still has some white gasket material on it. The diameter is around 1 7/16.
