I've always like the ring top sodas. Luckily for me St. Louis has a couple of nice colored ones. One is the J.A. Little, and the other is James A. Little. Same guy, two different molds. Both are iron pontiled and great looking bottles IMO. There are a few nice ringers from New Orleans that are out there too.

Hey Tim,

Little beauties, both! That flap is wonderful. Thanks for showing them.

Thanks guys!

There's an interesting story about the Little bottles. I don't recall what year it was, somewhere in the 90's I believe, that a pit in St. Louis was dug and around 70 or so of the Little bottles was found in this one hole. From what I was told it was a mixture of both the J.A. Little and James A Little bottles. Some was damaged and others wasn't. I'm not sure the ratio of damaged bottles vs undamaged ones that come out of that dig. Talking with a few other of the St. Louis diggers, and one that digs St. Louis more than anyone else, almost none have showed up outside of that one dig that time. You hardly ever see one for sale either. Most all of the bottles known came out of that one hole from what i've been told.

I think I saw a Holmes from New Orleans that had a ring top. I have a Miguel Piris that I had thought as a ring top. However, when I have it next to my Little it is not as pronounced. Here they are together and with a taper top Holmes for reference.

Looks great! Yours appears to be identical in color as mine. Very well could have been from that same hole.

I'd love to find that cobalt Holmes ringer from N.O.
