Hi: I am continuing my previous post of the Insulator dump I found along an old abandoned line in southern ontario.
I am posting pictures of the various insulators I found. I would appreciate any help in rarity , value , etc. , as I realy don't know much about them.

Thank You.

Hey Jack,

You might want to ask the moderators to consolidate all of these posts into a single thread. It would be nice to see them all in one place, IMO. [8D] I have tried to look at all of them, but keep losing my place and wondering if this side view goes with which upright view, and they are about to be widely dispersed, once people start commenting.

Congratulations on finding this dump...

You definitely have some good stuff there. Values can really be affected by condition and it's kind of tough to tell from your photos what shape things are in. I'd rather underestimate and have you pleasantly surprised than over-estimate and set you up for disappointment... since you asked for values.

If you want lots of historical info, just say the word and I'll start rambling endlessly. [:D]

This is what I could remember after wading through all those photos...

Green American - nice!!! Definitely a good piece but price will depend a lot on condition and just how strong the green color is. I'm not going to hazard a guess at this point.

Other "beehive" shapes - HG Co is common. GNW Tel Co is less so, but no more than a few bucks.

The smaller beehives without an inner skirt -- that was the typical Canadian telegraph style for many decades. Montreal Tel in that condition is probably around 10-15, plain GNW is a good one but it looks like yours might not be the best, so I'll say maybe 15-20. Great North Western is another good one, but looks like yours is etched and has a chunk out of the dome, so probably no more than 10-15. I'd definitely encourage you to keep poking around that dump and see if you can turn up others.

The KCGW Fairmount signals book for 20-30 but again, I see lots of surface pecks so probably closer to 10.00.

The unembossed one is another good one. In good shape, that'll be 75.00 or so.

you've got quite a wide variety of insulators coming out of that dump... interesting.

that american and the unembossed one are probably your best ones. I want to say the unembossed one is a cd-136.4... but that's just a guess.
