Any thoughts on to what this was used for and the value seen one on ebay they said it was a liqur bottle but there pic made it look like a salt n pepper shaker.

Id say its a candy container. cant give you a value but i believe it is pretty common one. it would have held what i call colored flavored sugar bb's in it.

Just when I think I've got something figured...

"...Alternate uses. Not all the containers held candy. Some had liquor inside. For example, a dog-shaped container held wine, and it said “Cohoda’s Vineyards Inc. Geneva, Ohio†on the bottom.

Others had food inside. An owl-shaped container had honey inside and, after it was empty, it could be used as a salt and pepper shaker..." On Candy Containers.

Thanks surfaceone!! Mine says exactly that on the bottom. Now that i think about kinda makes more since it would have wine in it n not candy considering the bottom saying vineyard.
