Might be a little confusion here. S-104 in the Ring Ham book is an amber lady's leg embossed Shurtleff's Bitters and is listed as extremely rare. I could see $1'000.00 for that. The bottle stemp143 has is S-105. He died in 1904, I would think your bottle dates close to that time period, not sure of value.

I can't see a clear, unattractive bitters going for $1,000, even if it is extremely rare. It has no town name, no shape, no picture.
Someone tell me what I am missing here.
