Does anyone remember a post with porter or squat type bottles marked only with block letters K Z ? I can't seem to find the post.

That letter combo brings up zero hits searching ABN thru Google and Tod has nothing listed on his site, are you positive that's the two letters??

in the august AB&GC magazine " wanted " section, i see a fellow from Zanesville Ohio is
looking for local bottles. among them is an ale embossed " KZ". i'm guessing this is your bottle....

It is an Ohio bottle. The KZ stands for Kearns Zanesville. Can you post a picture?

The owner is on vacation at the moment. I know Kearns was a glass maker in Zanesville, but I didn't know he was also a bottler. I've seen/dug several of the base embossed bottles from him and partners. I''ll get a pic when he gets back. He found a bushel basket of bottles in a woman's garage attic, and bought it for $50. Some of the bottles include a pontil Dr. Jayne's expectorant, a Towsend's, the 2 KZ's(aqua one is missing top), and a few other decent bottles. I swear he's the luckiest guy I know.

Tod has a Kearns by himself and with two other bottler/brewers in Ohio...
