Ok,
I'll give this posting a bottle to this forum a try.

This Deep Emerald Green sided soda came from a privie in Marysville,Ca back in the early 70's.
There were a bunch of great bottles to be dug back in the day and this one just jumped out at me..
You know when you're scratching down the walls and a bottle falls in your lap... LOL
This is the only sided soda I've seen with horizontal embossing other than the Hassinger & Petterson. St. Louis. I'm sure there are others...

I don't know much about this bottle other than I love it.
I haven't found any listings of any others or the sale of one.
If one of you East Coasters can enlighten me that would be great.

Thanks for the look...
Enjoy

That is one very fine bottle. I also have some fond memories of Marysville, great digging town.

Most all the paneled sodas I see the embossing is always embossed within the paneled areas , not across them , makes for an odd vairent to me . Super nice as well as color .

Tods site mike work for you, it has for many others. I just have never been able to get the search function to work. Maybe my software is just too old.[8|][8|]

There is a Ghent, New York.

Check out these maps:
http://www.historicmapworks.com/Search/city.php?query=ghent+&State=NY&x=23&y=16

Since they only put "N York" maybe they took out the "h" in and used "Gent."

It looks like they wanted the same # of letters/punctuation for the top and bottom lines.

Either way that is a very nice color!
