Hello everyone.
New to this great site.
Recently found a very large Deep Olive Green Jug.
Very Deep Olive Green Glass.
Lots of bubbles and striations/mold marks.
On the bottom in very faint letters are the words " Texico "
The person I bought it from said it may have been a Gasoline Jug.
But the look of it seems tp predate Texaco.
It's approx 18 by 11 inches.
I have never seen a Deep Olive green Jug in this size.
Maybe someone here can kindly help me?
Thank you so much.
Nick.

Hello OldGhost, ie Nick; That is one nice demijohn. It doesn't look as old as the bubble in the glass makes it look; but it is a majestic collectible. RED Matthews

Hey Ghost,

It's the shape, and I'm assuming the size (5 gallonish,) of a water cooler bottle:

Hello everyone.
Thanks for the replies and help.
Yes it does look like a 5 Gal water Jug.
And I'm not an expert in any way, but I have some old glass ( pre 1900 ) and this jug looks and feels like old glass.
Not a newer piece.
It has real wear and age.
Maybe it was a gasoline jug?
Nick.
