Gott Leibe Matt means God Love in German, this was totally different spelled Gottleib [8D]........supposedly he was a Prussian Dr []

This is a great web site and a really neat museum to visit. Look at the Fish bottle with the unfinished top right out of the mold gifted to the museum by William H Ware. The same thing for the unfinished Booz bottle blown for Edwin Atlee Barber which he also donated to the museum.
