Unfortunately the Clevengers house/factory looks like an illegal moonshine operation house in Appalachia or a Crack house from Camden New Jersey. Lets just say it is in need of some serious TLC. The property is protected and I couldn't tell you if the Travis family still owns it. The property it sits on at one time was part of the Fislerville 1848 to 1852 and then the Moore Brothers 1853 to 1910 glass factory operations. The front door has been removed and a storage shed type of enclosure was added. Not much of a show room!!

Now that is some great, interesting information, I learned a lot today with this and the KELLY'S OLD CABIN BITTERS discussion. Sarah, you've certainly come to the right place, these guys are amazing.

I believe the Cleavenger Repops still have some value, what do you guys say?

The straight roof early 1930 versions are commanding 200 to 300 if they look just right generally speaking Jim, and 50 to 75 dollars on average for the ones that look old and have minor defects. As far as the new looking ones ( off color,to drippy a top, sagging roof line) 20 to 30 dollars.

I Couldn't agree more Matt,
In retrospect had the Clevengers concentrated on their own unique glass style their own designs and whether it was copying old South Jersey styles or not as long as they signed them and identified them as such it would have gone a long way in presenting their pieces to today's environs without the stigma as being labeled fakes repros or copycats. The Clevengers whole existence in its inception was based on the price the brothers saw an original Booz bottle at auction go for. They were convinced they could make the same bottle and they did and they have fooled quite a few people me included../....Twice early on. []They were quite capable of producing glass in the mid 1800s tradition as seen on many of their off hand pieces. A Clevenger signed Lilypad pitcher from the 1930s might bring today 1000.00 dollars because it was original. Unfortunately most of their work gets grouped into reproduction or fake category's which devalues all of their glass.

I almost got ripped off by one of their repros when I started collecting. I was only saved by the fact that I was about $5 short of the asking price. I didnt learn it was a repro for about another year. THey made some nice glass.

All of this is fascinating! I am a librarian and I consider myself a pretty good researcher, but y'all are amazing!

Thanks so much for all of the information. I certainly know where to go with any other bottle questions I come across.

Thank you!

I COULD NOT HAVE SAID IT ANY BETTER THEN THIS. A PIECE LIKE THIS SHOULD COMMAND FIVE HUNDRED TO A THOUSAND. An original Clevenger Lily pad crimped footed vase. Allie, Tommy, and Reno ( Clevenger brothers) if you can hear me THIS is what you should have concentrated more on. Not GAWDY Booz bottles in crazy colors. A pitcher like this is a center piece to a table a window where ever. True art here.........This pitcher was probably blown 50 to 70 years ago, rare, saw one last year on eBay. Good starting price....Here have a look.
