Here we have the highly coveted American Bottles & Flasks and Their Ancestry by Helen McKearin and Ken Wilson. Of coarse there are many references to older works since this was ©1978 but it's still the most up to date work at the time. It's ex library and isn't perfect but this isn't a book collecting site, is it.
I'll start the bidding at $25 since fees take a good chunk of the final bid.
I'd like it to go to a non, as of yet supporter, but it's of coarse open to all.
Postage is paid by me in the lower 48 but I may have to charge extra for me to other areas of the world (paid separately) and the bidding ends 7 days from post time.

Free gift also. A photocopy of one of the McKearins sale catalogs dating to 1921-1941 and the cross reference (to the best of my ability) I made to the Van Rensselaer numbers that were still used when it was made.

Do I hear a bid?

Ok Eric I know the book is worth more that that and I could use another one up North here,

I will cover it with a bid of $ 40.00, since your covering the postage. I am sure someone will bid more but that's the objective. Best regards, RED Matthews

Thanks Red!
I also want to note that the cross reference for the catalog I made also tried to cross the Bitters to the Ring numbers. Imagine buying an Indian Queen for $10 or a Drakes for $2 today! It was a lot of work but by no means complete.
I never even attempted the decanters, cup plates and other items.

Wow, thank you Cassie the cat. [:D]
This is reminding me of the old days when you couldn't touch the book alone for less than a C note. Then again, that was just for money, not support to this great site we might not be able to live without. At the very least be really bored for some amount of time.
I was hoping to get some new supporters but this is great!
Thank you!!!!!

PS: The lower 48 is wrong, all 50 are cool. I can't seem to find less than $30-60 for any other countries though, not even Canada. I'll have to look up US territories and other things. It may be just trying to use the online calculator.
If anyone knows some tips, I welcome them.

About 24 hours left and few more gifts! They're either total fake Medicine adds that never existed or reproductions. I never got around to looking them up but I just noticed they're getting wrecked.
Also, shipping is Priority flat rate. That's about a $6 savings over media. Oops I forgot, free shipping anyway... but it's faster. [:D][:D][:D]

Well, it appears Cassie the cat is the high bidder. I sure hope it's not like the case of the dog 5 years ago that got a credit card in the mail. [:D][:D]
Anyhow, it's flat rate so I'm trying to pack in a few extra tidbits and will email some also. Kitty will have to print those out when received or just save them to a folder.
I also want to thank George, without whom Cassie may not even have access to a computer. Thank you both.

Cassie would like to know where to send the payment.
Cally says that she does not care what that lazy Cassie bought, she is holding out for A set of Ring & Ham (she likes ham)!
