I picked up part of a small collection today. This flask was the only one in the group. Obviously a desirable flask but I have zero idea of it's scarcity or value. I am guessing about 1880 for a date. Any help would be welcome. It is six inches tall and in very near mint condition.
George

I don't think you'll have much trouble selling it, if that's your aim.. [;)]

He died in 1915 and I'm sure a few people here would be interested but I have no idea what amber flasks from NYC are selling for...

As much as I like many types of bottles, I can only afford to collect in one category. I will either sell the flask or trade it for a crude fruit jar. George

Stephen Stevenson... It's got my name written all over it, no wonder I like it! [:D]

STEVENSON, STEPHAN
1) STEPHAN STEVENSON/165 ATLANTIC AVE/BROOKLYN/FOUGERA BUILDING,
Half pint; amber; strap side; oval letter plate.
Listings found:
1873: No listing found.
1875: No listing found.
1879: A listing is found for Stephan Stevenson, grocer, at 110 Atlantic Ave.
1895: No listing found.
1897: Grocer at 165 Atlantic Ave.
1902: No listing found.
I would note that the listings I found for him are all in the grocer sections of the Directories. Many of my Directories are copied from microfilm, and I only copied the "Wine, Liquor, Lager Beer Saloon" sections due to cost constraints.
I see that this flask features the standard round letter/slug plate. I have a variant which has a small, oval/egg shaped slug plate.
If it is for sale, I would have an interest in it.

There seems to be some interest in this flask and it apparently is quite scarce so I am posting some more pictures. George
