My mother in law emailed me this photo the other day while she was out junkin asking if I wanted it. I didn't respond in time, so she didn't pick it up. I would have bought it, as the price seemed reasonable (I think). I think it's a pretty cool looking piece.

Anyways, anyone know the U number and the book value on this. I know the picture is crappy, but figured I'd see if anyone knew. Not sure if there were any markings on it.

thanks

I can't come up with a U number right at the moment but these can be acquired at most insulator or perhaps a bottle show for $15 - $20, maybe less. They are definitely an appealing design but not all that uncommon.

If it's a unipart, I'd guess it's U-432 or 432A (hard to tell with a phone photo). 432 is 5-10, 432A is common, 1-5.

There are several small two-piece with a cross top, but they're not unusual, perhaps 5.00 or so.

There's a few of these (differen't M number though....well that one's a U# but the ones i saw were M's) still in use somewhere in ohio. The ones i saw were a really bright orange colour-
-Yours Looks like a Thomas.... i think all the small cross-tops are thomas's's's. Probably un-marked, and not too valuable, but for $5 or so i'd buy it. Common or not they're pretty cool. There was a nice bright orange one on ICON for $10 a while back that didn't sell- i'd pick it up at a show for $10 without looking twice but maybe that's just me
