...been waiting for this with tenterhooks for a few days now.
Will the sender pack it well?, am I being scammed?, will it get waylaid?, will it rattle when it arrives?.....(groan), will it, almost 100% likely have various stars or minute hairlines that even the most honest but unknowledgable seller can never spot.
So it arrived this morning, and at first sight looked ok....

and sending prayers to Codd above...please Codd, please, no stars, please....

and I keep on turning it round expecting to see a star or stars or a hairline....

please, please.....

YES, BLOOMIN BRILLIANT! IT'S OK, THANKYOU! THANKYOU!!!! OH THANKYOU CODD!!!

(pause while I dance around the room and go punching in the air uttering "YES!!!" "Yes" "yes!")

....such is the life and typical morning scene (sometimes) of the earlyglass household..

thanks for the kind comments, no, need to do some research yet, though looking at the style, pontil and what little I know of where it came from it would point to a northern English or Scottish glasshouse, so also northern or Scottish Mr Miller....

Mark that is an awesome bottle, congrats big time to you!! Was it found locally in Great Britain? It is in great shape too. They are the equivalent in your bottle circles in Great Britain as our historical flasks are to we here in the states, extremely desirable. I myself picked up an American version of your bottle. It is from Same time period 1739 to 1750. This is from the United Glass Factory at ( Wistarburgh ) Alloway Salem County New Jersey,Hey I just thought of something it really is a British bottle as we had not fought the big one with all of you yet!!I will be posting more pictures of this one later today. It is the most crude bottle I have in my collection. It was a long buried bottle with all sorts of calcification occurring on it.

I just have to ask. Who is Codd? Do you pray to him / her / it ? Do they send you things like this and / or help you acquire such items? Do they live upstairs of you? I know who GOD is and I pray to him constantly and he definitely helps me through this life but I've never hear of someone / something named Codd doing such things. Please enlighten me if you can / will.
