Does anyone know the rarity for a
Glass Insulator: CD 200 - No. 2 Transposition Aqua? I am pretty sure that is what I picked up today at Flea Market. I will post photos later. I just got home an very tired...[/align]

Latest book price for aqua is 30-40 in vnm condition. This style has a lot of thin areas that can get chipped up, so it might be tough to find one in good shape.

yes it does in style color I am not sure cause it is still dirty.. mine has a chip on very bottom of the outer rim

Looks good to me. The rim chip's not bad. Often you see transposition styles with the thin edges of the umbrella chipped up. That looks like the ordinary aqua color to me, but of course monitors are always a bit different from each other. If you got this for less than 25.00, I think you got a good deal!

No chips on umbrella rim.. it's a real light aqua color in sunlight but can't get it to come thru on photos.. I bought it for 1.00.. Only bought it cause I never seen this style before..

for $1 that's pretty good- no collectors will sell you one for that much.

Also, in case you wanted to know, and even if you didn't, it's a brookfield produced piece. Judging by the embossing style, colour, the way the inner skirt is molded, and how the dome looks, i'd say it's from around...ohhh, 1910-1915.
(information deemed reliable by me for me only)

novelty glass also produced this style with a star embossed on it- they show up in a pretty blue colour and sometimes "crazy green".
I believe the star ones are older.

Brookfield also produced insulators with a star (same star as the novelty produced insulators- brookfield and novelty both made insulators for whatever company it was that wanted a star on their insulators) on them- if you find a brookfield produced cd-200 with a star on it don't tell anyone.
