nice old mineral water bottle with what appears to be an
unusual mould repair on the back.

thought Red would like to take a gander at this one.

it's in the third photo.

Thanks Jim, You are right about that mark. It is different and that always becomes more interesting. I will watch it and see if I can swing it. I am not sure of how they got the square form, but they had to square the corners the same as the would on the bottom of a tomstone slug plate. The half leaf would match a milling machine cutter and be easier. This method would take some slow riffling to take a rectangular sharp cornered hole for an iron insert, but that looks like what they did. There have been some others that were narrower and longer.
